Nicknamed Lion King (Aleksandrs) & Lefty Terminator (Janis), guys from small country Latvia surprised world by winning FIVB World Tour in very first year of their partnership.
Since 2013 team Samoilovs/Smedins (#SAMSME) has won:
3x FIVB World Tour
10 gold medals in FIVB events
1 gold + 4 silvers in CEV European Championship Finals
Currently main goal for #SAMSME is to qualify for Tokyo’2020 Olympic Games. In case of success it will be 4th Olympiad for Aleksandrs/3rd for Janis.
